SSP Welcomes Mauro Pino for Operations Review

On May 7, Sterling Stamping Plant (SSP) hosted Mauro Pino, SVP, Manufacturing North America, for a Stamping Division Operations Review focused on manufacturing performance, team engagement and continuous improvement across the plant.

The visit began with a plant overview presentation in the SSP Executive Conference Room, led by Dan Tunis, Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Manager. Plant leadership and team members shared updates on current operations, key performance priorities, and ongoing initiatives.

Following the presentation, Pino toured the Throughput Area of the shop floor. Emar Stringer, Stamping Ops, Pressroom; Allan Ferrett, Business Unit Leader; Mila Mitovski, Resident Engineer, reviewed daily throughput activity boards by shift and outlined loop audit processes used to maintain consistency and accountability.

Pino also engaged with team members on the shop floor, observing operations and providing feedback. He reviewed the Line 9 Pressroom Shop Floor Management Board with Keith Ridout, Team Leader; Joe Imesch, Quality Manager and Chris Vernier, Area Manager.

The visit highlighted ongoing collaboration between leadership and employees and reinforced the plant’s focus on meeting operational standards within the Stellantis Industrial System.
