Southeastern Michigan Veterans Stand Down
"For Honor, Duty, and Country, we leave no Veteran behind."
The UAW Region 1 Veterans Council is hosting the Annual Southeastern Michigan Veterans Stand Down Event. This two day event will be held at UAW Region 1, located at 27800 George Merrelli Drive, Warren, MI 48092. There is no cost for veterans to participate.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, and Detroit VA Healthcare System will be on site to assist veterans. These providers will be on hand administering health screenings, assisting with benefits, and many other services.
Date: September 23 and 24, 2026 Time: 9 AM to 5 PM Veterans Registration: Closes at 1 PM each day Volunteer Registration: Starts at 7:30 AM
Volunteer set up and break down will take place September 21, 22, and 25, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Transportation is provided from:

301 Piquette Square, Detroit, MI (pick up for VCRRC and Veterans of America)
Vans will leave UAW Region 1 at approximately 4 PM.
Giving a "hand up," not a "hand out," to our veterans.
