Scholarship for Dependent Children Application Now Open

The enrollment period for the Scholarship for Dependent Children (SFDC) program opens August 17, 2026 and runs through October 16, 2026.

During 2023 UAW FCA Negotiations, the SFDC program was established for post secondary education for dependent children of active UAW represented employees.

All eligible members must submit signed applications to their Local TAP Representative during the enrollment period, for courses successfully completed during the 2026 school year.

All signed applications and required supporting documentation must be submitted to your Local TAP Representative.

Late submissions will not be accepted. Any applications submitted directly to the National TAP office will be returned to the sender.

Please note, there will be three disbursement payments beginning after submission to the National TAP office. Payments will be disbursed based upon first in, first out completed and approved applications. Exact dates are yet to be determined but will be communicated when available.

Key Dates to Remember

• August 17, 2026: TAP Online System opens at 12:00 AM

• October 16, 2026: TAP Online System closes at midnight
